Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Chemistry of Food at the Ternopil National Ivan Pul’uj Technical University, Member of Experts’ Council in Biological Sciences and Superior Certification Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science in Ukraine, author and co-author of over 180 scientific publications. Within the scope of Prof. Pokotylo's interest there are questions connected with physiology, biochemistry, nutrition hygiene, research in lipids metabolism and effects of biologically active dietary supplements with high Omega-3 contents. Prof. Pokotylo is a member of the Experts’ Council of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine in Biological Sciences and of the editorial board of the scientific journal entitled "Medical Chemistry".

Mieczysław Pasowicz

President of the Polish Association of Hospital Directors, in the years 2005-2010 he was also a members of the Executive Board of International Forum Gastein – the biggest European forum of NGOs within the health sector. Associate Professor at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. Winner of many prizes for his national and international activity. Originator of the first in Poland "digital hospital" project and long-term manager, initiator and organiser of the "Centre for Quick Diagnostics" at the John Paul II Hospital in Krakow. For nearly 20 years he acted as the director of that hospital and a state-of-the-art Cardiac Surgery Clinic was built during his term of office. Currently, he is developing the Institute of Innovative Medicine.

Maria Bortel-Badura

Specialist in clinical pharmacology and internal disease doctor at the Medicine Department, Silesian Medical University in Katowice. For many years she gained experience working as a clinical trials specialist, clinical trials coordinator and medical director for the biggest international pharmaceutical concerns. She is a member of numerous scientific societies, including: Polish Pharmacological Society, Polish Society of Internal Medicine, Society of Monitored Therapy and Polish Association for Good Clinical Practice. For many years she provided training for the medical circles.

Waldemar Hładki

Associate Professor at the Chair of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy of Collegium Medicum, Jagiellonian University. University lecturer at the Medicine Department thereof. Specialist in the fields of: general surgery, orthopaedics, traumatology and emergency medicine. Author of 4 medical textbooks and over 300 publications in scientific journals. He is a member of prestigious scientific societies in Poland and all over the world. He also acts as an Expert of the Foresight 2020 Research Programme, National Centre for Research and Development and the Innovative Economy Research Programme of the European Union and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Ilona Kaczmarczyk-Żebrowska

Head of the Chair of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at the Silesian Medical University, pharmacist, expert pharmacologist. Expert in biochemical and molecular mechanisms of the effects of drugs and substance of natural origin, including plant-based ones. She conducts research, gives lectures and provides courses within the fields of phytopharmacology and herbal medicine. Head of the Polish Pharmacological Society, Branch in Silesia. She has won numerous awards for her scientific achievements, i.a. the award of the Minister of Health and Welfare. Author of over 60 scientific papers published in journals of international reach and 231 conference communications.

Medical doctor, specialist in internal diseases, sports medicine and medical rehabilitation. Dean of the Health Sciences Department, professor of Vincent Pol University in Lublin. Member of the Central Board and former Scientific Secretary of the Polish Society of Sports Medicine. Former collaborator of national and Olympic judo, basketball, volleyball and table tennis teams. Former member of the Medical Board of the Polish Paralympic Committee and the Medical Board of the Polish Football Association. Two-time winner of the award of the Minister of Health for outstanding achievements in the organisation of healthcare provision in Poland. Co-founder and member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Health Academy.

Graduate of the Medical Academy in Lublin. Professor, habilitated doctor in pharmaceutical sciences, in the field of clinical analytics. Head of the Chair and Department of Laboratory Diagnostics of the Medical University in Lublin, clinical biochemist, full professor at the MU in Lublin and University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów. Expert of the Polish Accreditation Committee, member of the State Examination Committee within the field of laboratory diagnostics. Chair of the Clinical Biochemistry Group of the Board of Laboratory Medicine in Poland. Winner of decorations and honours (scientific award of the Minister of Health, Gold Cross of Merit, Medal of the Commission of National Education).

Andrzej Ziemba
Member of the DUOLIFE Scientific Council
During his professional career, Professor Andrzej Ziemba managed numerous studies as part of international co-operation. Professor Ziemba has also published on the pages of specialised literature, he is the author of 50 papers in scientific journals, 7 review papers and 31 chapters in academic literature. He has 70 presentations on international conventions to his merit as well. As an academic activist, he has taught and educated a large circle of medical adepts for over 50 years, thus being instrumental in developing the current generation of specialists. For his activity in favour of science and sport, Professor Andrzeja Ziemba has been honoured with:
